Hunter Valley Wedding Venues: Part 1 – Stunning Outdoor Spaces

The Hunter Valley is full of breathtaking vineyards, gardens, and outdoor estates perfect for your wedding day. From intimate micro weddings to larger gatherings, this region offers something for every couple. In this first part of our Hunter Valley series, we’re sharing a few of our favourite ceremony spots and what makes them truly special.


Venue 1: Ben Ean

Location: Broke, Hunter Valley

Why we love it: Ben Ean is an absolute gem for couples who want a rustic, romantic vibe with stunning vineyard backdrops. The mix of open lawns, garden pathways, and the property’s iconic grapevines creates a naturally beautiful setting for ceremonies. The beautiful garden terrace lawn overlooks the Broken Back ranges, an arbour is included along with 12 guest seats and they have a wet weather alternative. For those who want an indoor ceremony they have the stunning Courtyard and Laraghy Room which is also inclusive of a hexagon or triangle arbour and 32 guest chairs. There are two gorgeous areas to hold your reception with very affordable packages and prices per person.


Ceremony & Styling Tips:

  • Perfect for weddings of all sizes.

  • The garden terrace lawn near the vineyard rows overlooking the Broken Back ranges are ideal for your arbour setup, they provide the arbour, so all you need is your floral arrangement, giving a classic Hunter Valley vineyard look.

  • Early afternoon light is beautiful for photos among the vines.

  • Minimal styling needed—natural surroundings are already stunning, but soft draping or floral accents really pop.

  • Easy access for guests, with plenty of parking.

  • Couples love the intimate feel of this property, especially if they want a mix of vineyard charm and quiet elegance.



Venue 2: Bimbadgen Palmers Lane

Location: Pokolbin, Hunter Valley

Why we love it: Bimbadgen offers classic Hunter Valley elegance with modern touches. From the vineyard lawns to the rose garden, every corner of the property feels curated for a picture-perfect ceremony with a stunning purpose-built reception venue. With a Mountain View backdrop under the Morton Bay Fig Tree, a pergola spot for a rainy day wedding, a stunning pontoon overlooking water or infront of the beautiful barn doors, there are many spots to hold your ceremony. The reception can seat up to 130 guests seated or 150 guest standing and can be easily styled with however your heart desires, whether you book a stylist or DIY. Ceremony inclusions are white bench seating and a timber arbour and as a bonus complimentary use of their Bridal Preperation Suite and 2 complimentary room nights at the Lane retreat. We love that they also have a whole list of enhancements to add to your wedding experience, including a donut feast and grazing dessert table!


Ceremony & Styling Tips:

  • The ourdoor garden is perfect for small, intimate ceremonies.

  • For larger groups, the lawns provide space while keeping that iconic Hunter Valley backdrop.

  • Sunset ceremonies here are absolutely magical, with warm golden light across the vineyards.

  • Draping, arbour florals, or even fairy lights can enhance the naturally romantic vibe.

Venue 3: Pokolbin Park

Location: Pokolbin, Hunter Valley

Why we love it: Pokolbin Park is a versatile and scenic spot perfect for couples who want a private outdoor ceremony surrounded by lush gardens. The space is intimate but flexible, allowing for different setups. It is a public area so for those on a budget or prefer something smaller without sacrificing the views - still a gorgeous spot for a ceremony then heading off to one of the stunning restaurants for a reception or lunch. Parking is available however there is no wet weather alternative here but we can bring the clear white umbrellas!


Ceremony & Styling Tips:

  • Ideal for intimate weddings or small gatherings.

  • The central lawn offers a blank canvas for your arbour, chairs, and styling. Our styling package is only $1200 and we can style the area as you wish.

  • Morning or late afternoon light works best for photos, with soft shadows enhancing the gardens.

  • Florals, draping, or simple rustic décor fit beautifully here.


Additional Notes:

  • Easy parking and guest access.

  • A lovely choice if couples want a garden-style ceremony with the flexibility to bring their own styling.
